The Cape Coral southwest Florida education and library systems are in a flurry of expansion due to the influx of new students moving to southwest Florida. In addition, southwest Florida boasts an ever-expanding portfolio of offerings for adult and life-long learners.

Offers more than three dozen undergraduate degrees and two dozen graduate degrees with emphasis on arts and sciences, business, and health professions. On-campus housing.
Edison College
Nearly three dozen associate of science degrees and certificate programs. Cardiovascular technology program is one of 20 accredited programs in the nation and its paralegal studies is the only American Bar Association approved program in southwest Florida. Flexibility and affordability attractive for part-time programs for adult professionals seeking to advance their careers.
International College
About a dozen degree programs each at Associate of Science, Bacheler of Science, and Master of Science level, including accounting, legal, medical, and information technology programs. 
Southwest Florida College
Two-year degrees and certificates in job-oriented fields like medical, legal, business, hospitality, and education.
Nova Southeastern University
Ava Maria University
New $220million campus under construction 5 miles south of Immokalee in eastern Collier County scheduled for 2007 opening, currently operating out of temporary campus. First new Catholic university founded in the US in the last 50 years.

Library cards are available at any Lee County Library System location, and are free to anyone who lives, works, or goes to school in Lee Country. Non-residents may obtain a three-month or annual visitors card for a nominal fee.
